Tablets with a camera flash for interior inspections and assessments

One of the great things about tablets is that you can use them to capture information, and embed images in the relevant context. Here are some devices to consider for interior work as they have camera flashes...

Preamble

I have only looked at the Samsung offerings - Clarinspect  have a range of Samsung devices and have found them to be more flexible and a better standard of build than many other brands.

The links below will take you to Samsung's website, and I am sure you can find a local reseller. All images are copyright (c) Samsung

Keeping taking the tablets

In decreasing order of cost we have... Samsung Galaxy Note 4 - the latest and top of the range, not so big it looks silly being used as a phone.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - the previous year's model. Still relevant and performs well.

Samsung Tab S (8.4 and 10.1 inch). These are definitely too large to be used as a phone without looking slightly odd but both support 3G/4G if you choose to buy that option. The Tab S 8.4 is by far my own favourite in terms of weight and performance.

...but a camera is even better

Samsung Galaxy Camera. This is our next purchase. This turns the paradigm around, and puts Android on a camera rather than a camera on Android. This model brings up to 21X zoom, flash and the ability to run Apps. we haven't tested the Clarinspect service on it as yet, but are very eager to do so.

This could be the ideal device for those pesky inspections in roof spaces, under floors, or zooming in on far-off features you can't get to.

Post-amble

Tablets are great for Audits, Inspections and Assessments - the cameras are generally of a high enough quality, but having a flash on the tablet allows for picture-taking in a gloomy environment - great if you are working on a construction site, or underneath a house.

What the Samsung Camera brings to all this is the zoom capability - so you can operate in a loft space and take close up pictures at a high quality without actually having to get into a tight spot.
