Top apps for efficient inspections!
Preamble
To get more “bang for your buck” with the Clarinspect app we recommend the implementation of these apps. Each provides a different, highly valuable, feature that will improve the speed and quality of your inspections that are done with the Clarinspect app. They are all available for android devices from the Google play store.
"Open Camera" from Mark Harman (a very useful camera App)
(when you take the first picture, choose this camera as the default and set the image size to 1 Megapixel - 1280 by 720 say)
"Splashtop On-Demand Support" from Splashtop
Allows remote support over the internet, will allow us to help you if you are stuck

A slick keyboard App from Google that includes Google voice recognition
"Genius Scan" from The Grizzly Labs
Turns photos into clean image like a scan, and take account of shadows, keystone etc. Great for Floor Plans.
"Floor Plan Creator" from Martin Lewandowski
Easy to learn tool for rapid creation of accurate floorplans.
Pay one-off fee to save floorplans as jpeg, then you can use them in Clarinspect

Open Camera
Connecting with Splashtop is quick and easy
The Open Camera app allows for the inclusion of high fidelity photos in your inspections; increasing visual quality. The app has a range of options that are available to choose from, with a wide range of resolutions, photo styles, and a host of other options to get the ideal photo for your report.
Splashtop On-Demand Support
Splashtop On-Demand Support (SOS) allows for in-the-field tech support from Clarinspect to you. The app pairs the device with a Clarinspect machine. This allows Clarinspect to directly control the app for more hands on assistance that is both more effective and more time-saving than just a phone call.
GBoard
Getting GBoard for your android device will drastically improve your relationship with typing. With options for either finger-swipe typing or classic letter tapping, paired with a customisable dictionary, GBoard offers a fantastic user experience. Pairing this with Clarinspect will make filling out inspections all the more enjoyable!

Floor Plan Creator
Being able to annotate the layout of a building and include that in a report provides invaluable information to the viewer. The floor plan creator app makes the creation of such a layout easy, with simple tools and a user friendly interface. Once created, the floor plan can be saved as an image and then imported into your inspection quickly and easily. A great app to improve the visual acuity of an inspection, and convey lots of information quickly and effectively.
