Active solutions for passive fire installations & inspections

Preamble

Clarinspect is used to make processes more efficient across many sectors, and a good example of this is the world of passive fire safety. Clarinspect is showing key benefits at every step of the passive fire QA process, from intumescent coatings, penetration installation logging to construction monitoring. As a result the work done is more efficient and to a higher quality.

“Build” magazine issue 171…

The 171st issue of the “build” magazine is focused on passive fire protection. Alan Page from the Passive Fire division of GHD Olsson Fire & Risk has written about the works being undertaken at Canterbury District Health Board. Clarinspect is featured as the key software provider for installation logging and construction monitoring. See page 43 (44 & 45 on the digital edition, linked below) to read about the ground-breaking approaches to the installation & inspection processes that are implemented at CDHB.

High levels of customisablility allow the CDHB to get the most they need from Clarinspect. All aspects of the inspections are covered in the software and the collation of data saves many hours of effort. Additionally the ability to add photos of the installation process and have these incorporated into an ‘as-built’ report for each penetration automatically is a huge bonus. This not only save time but the use of the Clarinspect software adds accountability to the installer, and supports an on-going maintenance program with the details they need.

It has been great to support the CDHB in all aspects of their passive fire strategy!
