Applying Clarinspect to Tech Coatings
Preamble:
Tech Coatings provide passive fire installation through intumescent paint application and coating QA. Tech Coatings use FBL-100, a very high quality intumescent paint that is highly durable and boasts a very clean, white finish.

Why Clarinspect?
Tech Coatings needed a system that enabled them to quickly and easily record QA checks on both wet and dry film thickness. This testing process is a part of a system that ensures the correct application of any given coating established as the leading coatings QA logging software, it was easy to apply their know-how to what Tech Coatings needed.
Tech Coatings had a new job on the books that was starting immediately. For this job, Tech Coatings were after a real time ‘Coating Inspection’ form and a ‘Final DFT Audit’ form. Clarinspect was able to provide both of these, as well as a second form and report that were required for the final QA.
Getting Tech Coatings inspecting
For the coatings QA work that Tech Coatings was doing they needed to be able to record DFT and WFT, record all the relevant job details, and be able to load floor plans into their inspections. Tech Coatings supplied Clarinspect with a paper based form which they had developed.
Clarinspect’s iterative engagement model was used, and the requests and features that Tech Coatings were incorporated into their inspection template. The first inspection was put together in a day, and reviewed the day after in an online meeting. Within 3 days, Tech Coatings had an inspection signed off, and available in the field.
The outcomes
After working with Clarinspect, Tech Coatings are saving hours of time, while retaining the professional standard of report that they desire. On top of this, Tech Coatings is able to retain the flexibility to make any desired alterations to the reports that they produce before sending the finished product off to clients.
