One of the key concepts behind the development of Clarinspect - a Mobile Inspection, Assessment and Audit tool - is the idea that a community can develop collateral to be shared with other members of the community. Many of our clients compete with each other whilst doing the same job.

The New Zealand Transport Agency NZTA S6:2015 Bridge Inspection form is a case in point. Many engineering consultancies throughout the country use the same form for doing their inspection and report. Now, if you are a Clarinspect customer, the form is immediately available to you - for free.

By the "form" we mean an electronic template for recording all of your observations as well as a Word/PDF form where your observations are merged and printed.

The process is simple. Take your mobile device (any Android device will do but tablets and mini-tablets are the best) and follow the form:

Your photos are taken from within the mobile form - you can ensure that each photo is annotated if required. Images and plans can also be notated, again within the mobile form you are filling out. Handwriting and spoken word are recorded directly into the form.

And now for the magic! Sync your device over wifi or the cellular network and within a couple of minutes you'll receive a fully formatted document containing all of your observations and photos.

The form produced is in the exact format specified by NZTA. You'll be able to edit the inspection data if you wish but, in essence, it is ready to go. And because your inspection is digital you are able to store the raw data in a database or other format for future reference.
