The “monster document”; a true terror

A problem clients have before coming to us is that current software systems present their inspection results as one huge document. Such things become very difficult to navigate and extract information from.

Such a document is very close to becoming a “monster document” and they are true terrors to deal with. Information and data all across the document, the potential to not have a clear structure, and an overall lack of cohesion as the information from multiple site visits is squashed together.

This type of report is inaccessible to the customer and can even be hard for the team that made it to decipher if it has become too cluttered.

Consider a large site with multiple buildings, each to be demolished. Each building has to have an asbestos survey first.

In this case a clear statement of risks, asbestos presence and location is needed - the end user of the information will be a demolition company, or a removalist, in which case having everything about a specific building on one easy to read report solely about that building presents what is needed, so reducing the chance of errors, some of which could be hazardous.

One site to rule them all
